The Story of I - SOLD
Acrylic on canvas
48 x 60 inches
Contact us for pricing and information.
The Story of ‘I’ tells the story of a connection, the flowering of human consciousness of self-awareness and self-realization. Here the empowerment and guidance of the old indian way still applies, all things are related all things are connected. The ceremonial traditions of the people provide healing pathways for spiritual identity to everyone. These traditions are ‘inclusive’…… all colors, all nations, all welcome, all related by the divine energy of the creator, the old with the new, the past with the future, this is the story of I.Readings from the Mishomis Book , the voice of the Ojibway, tells of prophets who came to the Anishinabe people in the ancient times. These prophets left the people with seven predictions of what the future would bring. Each of the prophecies was called a ‘fire’, each referred to a particular time that would come in the future. These teachings of the seven prophets are now called the ‘seven fires’.The prophecies of the six fires made long ago have all come to be over time. It is said that we are now living in the time of the ‘seventh fire’. It is said that in the time of the seventh fire a new people would emerge. They will retrace their steps to find the spiritual essences that were left by the trail. There will be a rebirth of consciousness, of the old ways, and the sacred fire of enlightenment will be alight once again.A future choice must be made between the road of materialism and the road of spiritualism. The prophet said if the right road was chosen the seventh fire will alight and from there a final eighth fire, an eternal fire of peace and love will burn. If the wrong road is chosen only death and despair will bring suffering to the people. The contemporary spiritual teacher Eckert Tolle has said the dysfunction of the egoic mind, recognized already 2,500 years ago by the wisdom of the ancient teachings and now magnified through science and technology, is for the ‘first time’ threatening the survival of the planet. A significant portion of earths people will soon recognize that humanity is now faced with a choice ‘evolve or die’. (seventh fire prophecies).A growing number of people are already experiencing within themselves the breakup of old egoic mind patterns, and the emergence of a new dimension of counsciousness. As Tolle points out, if the structures of the human mind remain unchanged, humans will always end up recreating the same dysfunction. The story of ‘I’ is acknowledgment of this shift in the human consciousness away from the oppression and external dysfunction and restrictions of the ego mind. This realized by contemporary spiritual leaders and predicted by prophets long ago. A new people will emerge, a new consciousness would arise for the enlightenment of future generations. This, is the story of I.1000,797Not For Sale -

"I" - SOLD
On canvas, 23 x 23 inches.
“I” Transcending the Ego Mind
The transformation of consciousness has been the central message
of the great wisdom teachers in humankind’s history. The restrictions
of the “ego mind” and its collective nature are seen in Hinduism as “Maya”, the veil of delusion, “the mind is maya.” Transcending this
“illusion” is called “enlightenment.” In the teachings of Jesus, it is
“salvation”; in Buddhism, it is “the end of suffering”, transcending
“self.” In the “Old Indian Way”, this faith is shown through the teachings of the sacred wheel of life (medicine wheel) they say.
